Junior volunteers are typically college students and new graduates. Junior volunteers must be at least 18 years old and have completed high school. Professional volunteers have college degrees and at least one year of work experience in their field of study.

READY TO BEGIN YOUR ADVENTURE?

Keep reading to find out how to get started.

Step 1

Volunteer Application

The first step is to fill out our simple online application. This takes about 5 minutes and provides us with all the necessary information to get started.

Step 2

Phone Interview

After receiving your application, an AMVN staff member will contact you to schedule a short phone interview. The interview will help us get to know you, your interests, abilities, and availability. We can discuss current volunteer opportunities and answer any questions you may have.

Step 3

Volunteer Training

After you are matched with a volunteer position, we will schedule volunteer training to prepare you for your assignment.

Step 4

Volunteer Agreement

Before you start your adventure, we ask that you fill out an online volunteer agreement. This takes only a few minutes and ensures that you have read and agree to follow the AMVN volunteer practices and feel comfortable with the responsibilities of your volunteer position.

READY, SET, GO!

Don’t forget to check out our Volunteer Handbook.

VOLUNTEER GROUPS

Volunteer groups are fun! If you have a group of family or friends that are like-minded and want to volunteer in Armenia, let us know and we can look for the right opportunity for you.

VOLUNTEER SCHOLARSHIPS

With the help of our donors, AMVN is sometimes able to provide scholarships for volunteers who want to serve in Armenia. These scholarships can help with travel and living expenses. Availability depends on funding. If you’d like to sponsor a volunteer, we would love to hear from you!
