AMVN Organizes English Classes for Young Professionals

When AMVN board member Renee Lemon told her son, Lukas, about our work, he decided to get involved. Lukas is an interesting young person, full of knowledge and enthusiasm. He is studying political science at Truman State University in Missouri. Lukas is interested in American politics, international relations, technology, debate, and music. He knows about Armenian history. AMVN Program Director Kristina Terian says, “I was so touched when I talked to him about the history of Armenia. He amazed me with his knowledge and respect for my nation”.

Lukas participated in a couple AMVN educational forums, and then became an AMVN volunteer. His English class includes lawyers, advocates, medical workers, and reporters. His lessons are fun and productive. He says, “I really appreciate this opportunity. I enjoy teaching my students.”

AMVN is grateful to have a volunteer like Lukas. We admire his kindness, punctuality and intelligence.
